Rail Operators Rush AI-92 Fuel From Russia to Service Stations

The Mineral Resources and Petroleum Authority said rail, customs and importing companies are operating around the clock to move imported AI-92 gasoline from the Sukhbaatar rail border crossing to storage depots and service stations. On July 31, 41 railcars carrying 2,460 tonnes entered the country, followed by 22 railcars carrying 1,364 tonnes on August 1, for a total of 3,824 tonnes, equivalent to about two days of normal national consumption. A further 34 railcars carrying 2,100 tonnes were scheduled for unloading at Tolgoit and Arshaant depots in Ulaanbaatar on August 2. Fuel is also being dispatched through Darhan, Erdenet and Ulaanbaatar to supply retail stations in the capital and provinces.

MIAT Cancels Istanbul Flight After Boeing 787-9 Technical Fault

MIAT Mongolian Airlines cancelled its OM161/162 Ulaanbaatar-Istanbul-Ulaanbaatar service scheduled for August 2 after a technical fault was identified on one of its Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Khuvsgul Lake Conference Sets Out Protection and Sustainable Development Priorities

The Office of the President and the Khuvsgul Provincial Governor’s Office held the first “Let Us Love and Protect Khuvsgul Lake” academic conference in Khatgal.
